We Care Animal Rescue & Transport is a registered non-profit 501 (c) 3 home-based in the rural midwest with partnerships across the United States. Working together with shelters, animal welfare organizations, animal transporters including private pilots and commercial truck drivers, and pet care professionals such as vetrinarians and nutritionists, We Care rescues, transports, adopts or provides sanctuary for animals in need regardless of location or financial situation.

We Care is also the umbrella organization for Pegasus Crossing, an equine organization pairing horses with physically or mentally disabled persons for therapeutic riding.

With several locations across Indiana and Illinois, We Care Animal Rescue is now raising funds to build new kennels and health care facilities, and add another transport van equipped with medical necessities for injured animal transport. We Care Animal Rescue is also now helping the strays of our local Indiana counties where there is no animal control or shelter.

Mission Statement: To effect social change locally, nationally and globally through education and actions that ensure that animals are regarded as loving companions; to provide emergency foster care for pets at risk, abused, and victims of domestic violence or mental illness; to assist in finding loving and responsible homes for dogs; to alleviate the overpopulation problem in urban and rural communities by promoting and assisting in spay/neuter campaigns; to provide a caring sanctuary for unadoptable animals that allows them to live out their natural lives with love and dignity.
